Breakfast seminar - the implications for flood insurance following the CSR

EVENT:

Funding for flooding defences was cut in the CSR. The Statement of Principles Agreement between insurers and the Government to ensure affordable flood cover is due to expire in 2013. Meanwhile the risk of flooding, especially surface water flooding gets ever greater and there is the potential that property owners will be asked to foot more of the bill for flood protection in the future.

Find out what the Environment Agency are doing to reduce the risk of flooding; understand how insurance companies are viewing the UK’s exposure to flooding and gain an indication of how MP’s will be holding the Government to account for the budgets that they do have.

We have confirmed the following speakers:

  • Dougie Barnett, Head of Customer Risk Management, AXA UK
  • Dr Paul Leinster, Chief Executive, Environment Agency
  • Bill Gloyn, Partner, Jardine Lloyd Thompson
  • Anne McIntosh MP, Chairman, House of Commons Defra Select Committee

To confirm your place at this free seminar, please RSVP to Louise Bates or on 020 7802 0109 by no later than Thursday 2 December 2010.
