Industry praised in green poll

The BPF has welcomed the inclusion of ten property firms inside The Sunday Times’ ‘best green companies’ list.

Construction firm Carillion came second, with developers Liberty, Canary Wharf and Berkeley Homes also high up the list. Other entries included professional services firms Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Liz Peace, chief executive of the BPF, said: “It’s fantastic that companies’ green efforts are being realized and we would urge all areas of the industry to use this opportunity to change the historic perceptions of the property industry and demonstrate to everyone how UK firms are leading the way in eco-friendly innovation and sustainable development.”
