CODE OF PRACTICE FOR COMMERCIAL LEASES IN ENGLAND & WALES (& MONITORING PRO-FORMA)

Description: The updated Code of Practice replaces the 1995 version. It has been produced at the request of the DTLR's Property Industry Forum by the Commercial Leases Working Group. The Code is intended to promote best practice in commercial lease negotiations and is aimed at being particularly useful to businesses seeking leases. Its main messages are the need for greater choice and flexibility in the market and for businesses to take professional advice on their property issues.
