What we do
Select committee inquiry responses
Departmental select committees shadow government departments and monitor their work. They play a vital role in the scrutiny of government and their inquiries can trigger major reform.
Select committees conduct inquiries on specific subjects and invite written evidence. This is followed by invitations to a handful of experts to give oral evidence at a formal inquiry session in Parliament in front of a committee of MPs. Following the formal inquiry, the committee produces a report outlining its findings and recommendations to government; these reports can sometimes be influential in shaping future legislation.
We provide written evidence to select committee inquiries that have a bearing on the commercial property industry, and have given oral evidence to a number of inquiries.
