Planning

Planning is consistently a hot topic for the development industry. Whether it is changes to legislation, either primary or secondary, new policy documents or the debate on funding and skills, there is always something to discuss.

Planning is important, as the vast majority of our members consistently engage with the planning system for better or worse.

Our Planning Technical Committee is consequently very active in responding to consultations and policy changes on a wide variety of areas, as well as engaging with the many stakeholder organisations that have an interest in this arena.

Community infrastructure levy

We lobbied the government against its plans to introduce planning-gain supplement and are assisting in the creation of its replacement - community infrastructure levy

Modernising planning

We are working with the government on the improvements it is making to the planning system

Planning policy statements

We are contributing to the government's updating of its planning policy guidance notes

Stakeholder organisations

We engage with a wide range of stakeholder organisations with an interest in planning and the way it works
