What we do
Residential
Our members make several important contributions towards meeting the nation's housing needs.
We represent large scale investors in residential accommodation, including the private rented sector and sub-sectors of the housing and investment markets, such as providers of student accommodation and equity release.
We also represent large scale developers of housing and mixed use accommodation on brownfield sites.
Increasingly, our members are engaged in the provision of affordable housing - as investors in shared equity or rented accommodation and providers of affordable housing through section 106 contributions - and our membership includes a number of housing associations.
In addition, we represent the interests of landlords holding property on leasehold for trusts and family estates.
We believe strongly that the country needs a thriving, professional private rented sector. Why we think this is important, and what we believe the government should be doing to encourage the private rented sector, is set out in our housing manifesto, Letting in the Future.
As long term investors, our members are also strong subscribers to the need to create mixed, and therefore sustainable, communities.
