Join Movers and Shakers for their last breakfast of 2019! Just 48 hours before arguably one of the most divisive post-war General Elections, this breakfast will be a “Question Time” style, election special! To kick off the event, the charismatic and super-clever, Ben Page (Chief Executive of Ipsos MORI), will give us up to the moment polling predictions, voter psychology and lots of interesting stats on the election! He will also look at the social, commercial and political trends in 2019.
They have assembled a first-rate panel of leaders for the question time session. They will share their experiences and opinions on the challenges of 2019 and their expectations and needs for 2020! Alongside this, we will be having ‘live polls’ to get opinions from the floor and will be encouraging debate and audience interaction!
If people want to submit a question in advance of the December breakfast, please post your question on twitter using #electionspecial and @MoversShakersUKSpeakers:
Housing is clearly going to continue to be a major issue for 2020. Rob Perrins, Chief Executive of Berkeley Group and Kates Davies, Chief Executive of Notting Hill Housing Group, will give their views on what is needed to accelerate the delivery of homes. Melanie Leech, Chief Executive of BPF and Michael Barrie, Board Director and Head of Fund Management of LGIM Real Assets will be able to tell us what needs to be done to stimulate the Commercial and Investment markets. Steve Norris, a former MP, Minister, Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party, and currently Chairman of Soho Estates, has a unique understanding of both the worlds of politics and property and has a reputation for straight talking. Finally, Torsten Bell, Chief Executive of Resolution Foundation and former Director of Policy for the Labour Party, will provide insight into some of the socio-economic challenges facing low income families in the UK and how we can achieve great equality.
Please book via the event website.
