The UK Government has published its proposals to overhaul the regulatory system for building safety in England in response to Dame Judith Hackitt’s Independent Review.  The new regime, overseen by a new building safety regulator with a wide remit and significant enforcement powers, will have far-reaching implications for those who build, own and manage buildings in scope.  A consultation runs until Wednesday 31 July 2019.

Please join us for this milestone event, to explore what the proposals mean for industry, and learn how you can prepare for change.  You’ll hear from preeminent guest speakers and have the valuable opportunity to put your questions to our panellists.

This event will cover such topics as:

  • Has Government got the scope of the new regime right?
  • How will the building safety regulator co-exist with the already over-lapping remit of other regulators in this field?
  • How can industry rise to the challenge of retrospectively creating the so-called “golden thread” for existing buildings, and what can be done now to prepare?
  • Will a new regulator and competence proposals drive cultural change?
