The demand for housing in the UK has never been greater. Due to this land for logistics tends to be pushed down the political agenda.
It is vital that logistics land is prioritised alongside housing at the heart of the planning system in order to fully service the needs of these homes, recognising the intrinsic relationship between the two, and provide jobs for the planned 300,000 households a year.
The BPF’s Industrial Committee has commissioned Turley to study the relationship between homes and warehouse space, and provide answers to how much land should be put aside to service the Government’s target of 300,000 homes per year, and where this land should be.
We will be launching the report at two free breakfast seminars on Tuesday 5 March in London and Thursday 7 March in Birmingham. Both events will start at 08:30 and finish at 10:00.
